KIND WORDS
Ruth's vision to inspire women to see their own beauty is wonderful. I love my pictures because they show both warmth and strength.
Even before our shoot, Ruth's guidance about wardrobe and interview about my goals for the session made me feel like I was in good hands.
I absolutely LOVE my new headshots. The various poses and, along with being surprised at how she got me out of my comfort zone with my style, made for a memorable experience.
When I first met Ruth, I knew she was the photographer I wanted to do my headshots. She had me comfortable in my own skin and was warm and welcoming from the get go.
During my session, Ruth immediately put me at ease, and gave me one of the greatest gifts I have ever recieved. With her talent and camera, she captured me as others see me. Finally I could see it too.
The pictures she took are stunning and beautiful, and I had a great time with Ruth from start to finish. I would highly recommend Ruth for your photography needs. You won't be disappointed!
Ruth was amazing to work with! I have never had a 'photo shoot' before, and was a bit apprehensive. But, Ruth was so on task and focused: she picked out great outfits for me from the clothes I brought, plus a few items she had on hand, and she applied the makeup. The setup was so much fun that after a few shots with her guidance, I just naturally fell into the poses. BTW, I have been camera shy most of my life, and now I am looking forward to my next 'shoot with Ruth!
There are hundreds of descriptions of “what’s the difference between a photograph and a portrait” but to understand the “actual difference” you have to meet Ruth Plumb.
All good photographers will try to capture your image, best representation of your look. But Ruth wants to capture your personality, your character.
Rather than how you look, Ruth focuses on who you are as a person, as a professional. That’s why she wants to know “why you do what you do?” Or “who are your dream clients?” And “what message you want to give to the world?”
All this reflects in Ruth’s portraits. I’ve changed my LinkedIn and Facebook profile several times in the past, but after I used my portrait by Ruth my contacts from various countries (some of them I hadn’t spoken for 25+ years) took a notice and sent their compliments. Not only this, I was part of a corporate campaign and the ad featuring this portrait had maximum number of organic leads.

I want to capture this side of you, so everyday you can be reminded of how strong, wise and beautiful you are.
